The Free Government Cell Phone Program under Lifeline is paid for from the Universal Service Fund which collects money from telecommunications companies and sets it aside specifically for this program. If you qualify for the Lifeline Program, you will receive a free phone, a certain amount of free cell phone service, and unlimited access to customer service and 911.
Sharron Walters could not afford one more monthly bill. But without a phone, it would be difficult for Walters, who relies on a wheelchair, to secure rides to and from her daily errands. She also could not keep in touch with her son, who lives out of town. Three months ago, Walters, 48, of Swissvale started using Reachout Wireless under the Government Phone Program. "The service they provide is just truly a blessing," she said.
I am disabled & don't get around as easily as I used to. I also have other health issues that could escalate quickly. I can't begin to tell you how much safer I feel carrying my Reachout Wireless government phone with me. I have been able to get out more knowing that help is right in my pocket if I need it. And it's wonderful for my health care workers, friends & family to be able to reach me anywhere. I feel so much more secure & in control with my Reachout Wireless phone!

Wish I would have known years ago that there were free government phones and plans to low-middle class people like me. Was spending money on base model phones and plans and even splurged on the iPhone and spent around $1,200 before not being able to keep up with the bill. Looking back, I wish I could have just gotten one of the free phones and plans available out there like reachout wireless.

My Reachout Wireless government phone has made it possible for me to communicate with my many doctors and my lawyer while I am going thru the process of getting SSDI. Thank you for this service.
